Yesterday ZBL took his first trip to San Francisco.  It wasn’t the easiest ride as we encountered a lot of traffic (read: parking lot) on 19th Ave. and it took us as much time to get through that as it had traveling from Palo Alto to the city.  But we made it in the end, after 2 stops and more crying than we would’ve liked (and dad and I felt like crying there for a bit too :-(). 

It was fun to celebrate the 3rd birthday of our friend CCG.  Her dad and ZBL’s dad have been friends since college days @ Stanford and Jon was in our wedding in 2000.  They also now have a son who is 4 months older than ZBL so we hope that maybe all 4 kids will have a friendship that lasts as long or longer than their dads’ has :-)
