<p>Birthday Party Fun</p> <p>We invited some of our friends over to celebrate with Z (from the bottom up): Diego Rodrigues and Helen Yeni-Komshian (neighbors and long-time friends &ndash; bottom photo), EVR and Z playing with his toys, Aunt Liz and MWG, MR and SR (4th from the bottom), Erin and NGS (middle photo in row of 3 photos), Helen MR and SR, and cousin KAR holding ZBL @ the top (not pictured but also attending were Mike Schroepfer, Aunt Beth, Uncle Scott, and ACR).</p> <p>It was a lovely day and we also were celebrating the new trellis and patio that we had built during the month of May.  </p> <p><br/>Happy 1st birthday Z!</p>

Birthday Party Fun

← Earlier<p>Happy Birthday Z!</p> <p>We had a fun time with the cakes.  Z loves Cheerios so we decorated the little Cheerio shaped cakes with them (used a mini-angel food cake pan to bake the O shape).  Z recognized them immediately and actually didn&rsquo;t eat much cake as a result. John noticed that after Z had eaten some amount of the Cheerios, he screwed up his face as if to say &ldquo;wow, this sugar stuff is potent!&quot;  And so it begins.  </p> <p>And he didn&rsquo;t pinch out the candle!  But I did hold his arms just a wee bit, especially as he reached for the flame (just as John and I were blowing it out).</p> Later →12 months old!
